We strongly recommend you try before you buy to make sure these bikes are right for you. Because of this we offer two ways to test our bikes.
If you come to us we will provide a free demo (up to two hours) on any of our bikes. These must be booked in advance with a list of the bikes you want to try to allow us to make sure all the bikes are ready. We offer two hour dedicated time slots and find most customers make full use of this to try out a large range of bikes to help find the perfect one. As we have four children our demo area is very family friendly to keep children amused in-between bikes. The workshop is located at 30 Seaway Avenue, BH23 4EX.
If you prefer not to or are unable to bring your children, we have a range of weights to mimic how the bikes would feel loaded.
If you have to come a long way to get to us you could spend the weekend in the area and come visit us on one of the days. Our workshop is based in an idyllic spot on the South Coast by the Hampshire/Dorset border just 300m from the sea. If you need to stay overnight there is a range of lovely B&Bs, Premier Inns or even the Hoteliers’ Hotel of the Year 2016; the Chewton Glen.
Please Note: We can only provide one free demo per family/individual.
We can bring two cargo bikes from our range for you to try at your own home. This lets you try out the routes you would use the bike for to allow ultimate peace of mind knowing the bike does suit the roads near you.
We charge 70p per mile with a minimum cost of £150. Costs are calculated as a return journey with the fastest route. If you go on to purchase a bike from Kids and Family Cycles we will refund £100 on any bike over £1500.

This service is especially useful for hilly areas where you may worry whether or not a bike will be able to make it up hills and whether an electric assist is necessary.
London Home Demo Fees
London demos cost £150 outside the congestion zone and £175 in the congestion zone. As with other demos £100 will be refunded on buying a bike worth over £1500. Our vans are emission zone compliant.
